“I am so thankful I took the parenting course with Inga Raw and Cheri Hamm. The information I learned from their personal stories, the workbook, handouts, and hands-on activities was invaluable. It has not only helped me in really learning how to connect with my children but also heal some of my own childhood wounds. I went into the course wanting help around the emotion of anger….it was one emotion I just felt uncomfortable with in both myself and my children. There was an entire lesson devoted to this which I found so helpful! We have experienced so much freedom and peace, and I have learned to connect with my children in a way I never dreamed possible. “ - Jessica Luhowy, Brandon MB 2022 Parenting for Life 4 week EQ course |
“The importance of emotions in the workplace is vital to a healthy, honest and impactful business. There are many quips saying the personal is professional or your inner world leaks out into your outer world. It is also true that the emotional centres of our brain process much faster and larger amounts of information compared to the executive functioning. In my opinion emotional and mental support is directly connected to staff retention, staff development and service expansion. We can all think of jobs that we have had with stressful environments. No one has unlimited time or unlimited resources, but if there is an emotionally and mentally safe environment then businesses can look at effective and efficient work with their time and resources. The other reason for emotional development amount staff teams has to do with mission continuity. Whether your mission is to provide mental health support, sell cars, build houses or file taxes, there needs to be a clear mission and opportunities to develop the emotional characteristics needed for this mission. There is nothing more frustrating than a boss with authority accidentally causing more disruption than the solution. Emotional awareness is an essential step to having continuity in your organization. If your director can’t have a productive conversation with your clientele then something is going wrong. If middle management is afraid to bring up creative solutions or redundancies, then something is wrong. The emotional intelligence course brings personal awareness into those things in life that weigh you down or hold you back. Understanding yourself and your co-workers builds respect and trust in your work culture. The EI course invites you to be vulnerable and practice emotional expression and awareness in a safe setting. As a team-building exercise the EI course helps to improve communication and workflow on a team. The wheel does not always need to be reinvented every time a change happens at work, sometimes we need to invest in getting our emotions unstuck rather than fixing our work systems. Simply put, all business is personal, and the Living Whole EQ course is a great investment in our most precious resource, each other.”

"Our daughter Erinne did the EQ course when she was 5. She learnt valuable life lessons during the course. She learnt so much about dealing with her emotions. As a parent I feel that the course has such a positive impact and teaches children to accept and love who they are, that they are all wonderful individuals and that everyone is made different but we are all special in our own unique ways.
I also attended a Parenting Course run by Inga. It works hand in hand with the EQ course for the children because while they are learning about their emotions you are learning about the same thing so you are better equipped to continue helping them. It was a small group of parents and during the time we got the opportunity to discuss situations that we were experiencing in our homes. It was wonderful to bounce ideas off each other and try out new approaches in our own homes. The course content is excellent and helped me to understand and deal with my own emotions and in so doing help my children. Inga was a fantastic host, is incredibly knowledgeable and gets the message across so clearly. She provides great additional reading suggestions and was always willing to have a chat and give suggestions for specific things that someone was dealing with at the time. I would really recommend any parent to go to one of these courses." - Theresa, 2012 |
